The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant connect to an external system and operate it through a defined set of tools.Introduced by Anthropic and now supported across a growing range of clients, it replaces copy-and-paste and brittle custom integrations with real function calls against real data.

Won't this get my number banned?
No — and it is the right question to ask, because most WhatsApp MCP tools genuinely do carry that risk.
Most WhatsApp MCP servers link a personal account by scanning a QR code through WhatsApp Web. That is an unofficial client. It sits outside Meta's terms for business use, Meta's anti-abuse systems look for it, and a banned number cannot be recovered.
Every message goes out over the Official WhatsApp Business API — the same infrastructure Meta sells to enterprises. Your agent talks to NxAi; NxAi talks to Meta. No QR bridge, no unofficial client, no ban risk for legitimate business use.

Can the AI message people who never opted in?
No, and this is enforced in the connection layer rather than left to the model’s judgement. If a contact has not opted in, the send is refused regardless of what the agent was asked to do. The same applies to unapproved templates and to your messaging limit.
Do I still get the normal dashboard?
